shallow , afraid to be deep ,
snuffed out by the very secrets you keep,
unsure of what you think ,
afraid of what you feel ,
pushed to the very brink ,
you start believe what's unreal ..

always the victim ,
never at fault ,
I've learnt to take what you say
with a pinch of salt ..

so you'll remain shallow ,
unless you're set free
by someone you catch in your web ,
that someone won't be me ..
